I would say that the Ducks are more in need of personnel changes than lineup changes. Putting the same product on the ice and expecting a different result is insanity.
Need offense...try bringing in Zegras! Anaheim is full of middle 6 forwards, not a single actual top line forward. Is Zegras young and still needs development yes, but would I be entailed to burn a year of his entry contract to watch some actually entertaining hockey for sure!
Short of making player changes, the system needs to be tweaked. The dump and chase is slow and the Ducks aren't recovering the puck. They need someone who can carry the puck up the ice. Think about the greats of Selanne and Kariya carrying the puck up the ice and having possession in the offensive zone. The ducks have no possession time in the offensive zone and this would be due to not having control upon entry.
Not to mention their powerplay is beyond AWEFUL!! Puck movement is slow and poor. There is no real puck distributor other than Getzlaf.
6 goals in 4 games isn't going to win many games....unless they do something desperate the ducks may as well split the time between Gibson and Miller and pick up an early draft pick!
